In honor of National Poetry Month, the Library is sponsoring a public poetry competition for students in grades 4-12. Competitors will share their poems in an open forum with judging throughout the day. Prizes will be awarded in each session for first, second and third place winners. Be inspired by Wichita’s talented young poets! Students may submit their original poetry at any Wichita Public Library between Feb. 1-Apr. 14. Poems are limited to one page and one entry per person. Poems must suitable for family listening. (60-90 minutes per session)
