Marion Reservoir
May 17th from 10 am – 2 pm
Marion County Safe Kids, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, and Local Law Enforcement and Emergency Response Agencies are asking for your support in our Family Fun Day. We are jumpstarting the summer during National Safe Boating Week with activities to get recreation safety fresh in everyone’s mind. People can bring their boats out for free inspections, services for car seat checks will be available and lots of fun games and relay races for the children to play. The Corps Mascot, Bobber the Water Safety Dog, will also be making an appearance. Bobber will show everyone the fun side of water safety. We hope to be able to give door prizes away to families that take part in the activities and provide free refreshments with community support. We are asking newspapers and television stations to help us get the message out to the public about the event and how to keep outdoor recreation fun by doing it safely. A formal News Release will follow in a few weeks, but mark your calendars now for May 17th and Family Fun Day at Marion Reservoir. With your support we can make this event memorable for all participants!
