    paper or plastic or neither?

I am glad Dillons is finally taking my plastic bags....I know that paper is more environmental..

What do you think of the canvas bags?  Would you use them?

I am also trying to find where we can all take our old TV's when we have to change to digital TV's next year...

Re: paper or plastic or neither?

My grocery store has switched to a bigger, deeper, stronger plastic bag to hold more groceries and use less plastic bags.  I wouldn't use the canvas bags.  Why not just bring an extra large duffle bag instead?  It'd be better than carrying around 20 canvas bags to carry home hundreds of dollars of groceries.  But, if you did that, would they think you were shoplifting?  Paper bags are cool.  Some stores have handles on their paper bags but it's been years since I've seen that.  Can those bags really handle a gallon of milk and a gallon of juice?

Good thought on the TV's.  Why won't they work?  COX says they will if you have their service.  It's just the over-the-air people who would need to get a converter and then they will be fine.  I don't think there will be that many TV's.

The small Tv's like we use in our bathroom won't work is what I read.  No way to hook up converter box.  So there is 2 TV's.  Then the 13 inch in our bedroom is 25 years old, does not even have a remote... So there is 3 TV's...from just my family that will be tossed....

Who buys hundreds of dollars worth of groceries?  People with several kids.  And, if you only go a couple of times a month, it's easy to do.

I am glad you are talking about environmental issues.  I am all for going green.  And I want to give a shout out to 4uhmplayer!

As long as you're not going Brian Austin Green.  Or, even worse, Tom Green.

I think it is our freedom of choice if we want paper or plastic.

Slightly off the subject, but has anyone else noticed these "green" ads from one of the local banks showing how wonderfully environmental it is to switch to a debit card?  Anyone notice the guy gets his coffee in a paper cup?  Duh?
