I haven't been there in years. And actually I don't know anyone who goes there....how do they stay open? Perhaps it's more of a neighborhood place now.

Must be...I haven't been there in years either - since the 50 cent bud light draws on monday nights - do they still do that??

Downtown is where its at!

There is this guy who is a regular there my friends and I like to call the "Electric Cowboy".  I feel like he is a Wichita celebrity.

i have a friend who dressed up as him for halloween this year.  never seen the guy, but he must be a local legend...

I remembered why I stopped going there...last time I was there some dude pulled a knife, it got ugly...a little too ghetto for my taste

WOW!  I have never heard The Shadow called ghetto!!!  I think last weekend, they featured a band called "Big Fat Fun"....which is a bunch of fat white dudes playing cheesy cover songs.  I guess the days of knives being pulled at the shadow are over.

Now Flashbacks - that's more my style!!

Yeah its been a few years since the whole knife incident, it was pretty ghetto that night, sounds like its changed up a bit since then though.

The Shadow is great!  The DJ rocks.  The music is kicking.  Now you cannot always control who comes to the bar, but otherwise some cool people go there.

Update from my previous post - so I went to the Shadow last night for the first time in several years (since the knife incident) and yes it has changed quite a bit. Had a great time and 2-4-1s made it that much better.

Apparently that's where the cool kids hang out - oh and Crazy Mike - yes, he was there..and he spilled his drink all over the place at the entrance and he followed it up by bowing in every direction - which I thought was a nice touch...good for him
