Tonight, I watched a report over the Wii remote, and its tendency to "fly away."  This report was flawed, incorrect, out-dated and incomplete.  The kid being interviewed talked about how the Wii strap broke and the Wii-mote flew and broke his TV.  He talked about how the strap was faulty, and is suing Nintendo.  What this report failed to mention, was that he was using the 1st-edition strap.  Nintendo had a mass recall on the 1st edition straps and once you filed a simple report on Nintendo's website, they sent you how ever many new thicker straps you need for FREE.  Then they negelcted to mention that Nintendo also was sent out free remote sleeves that absorb the blow of the fall or the flight of a Wii-mote.  This report is about 7 months out of date.  Nintendo has admited to the problem many times and has taken the necessesary steps.  I am a serious gamer and use my Wii-mote all the time.  Since I switched to the new wrist strap and the sleeve, I have not had any problems.  This was just a bad, out-dated report.

He plainly said he doesn't use the old strap, he uses the new one that they sent him.

And how does the strap being replaced fix his TV? I think that's what the lawsuit is about, the fact that the faulty original strap broke and his TV was destroyed. And Gannon even said the new straps are still breaking, with 650 reports of property damage.

Did we watch the same story? Might be time for a hearing aid and some glasses.
